Dear Prime Minister Harper: I call on you to take a clear stand and make protecting the environment your government's top priority. Canada has earned international condemnation for being an environmental laggard. The planet, and future generations, deserve better from us. Make a strong public commitment to chart a new environmentally responsible course for our country: - Make the health of the environment your top priority. - Stop the muzzling of government scientists. - Halt any further development of the Tar Sands. - Work transparently with Canada’s leading environmental organizations to implement these measures.
